This major news article got the attention of folks in the sail transport movement: It is a boost to our movement when it is seen that some of the vast "oil money" from the corporate global economy starts to be transfered to sustainability. This confirms what more and more people are aware of: sail transport is on the rise and cannot fail to fulfill the promise of ultra-efficient, clean energy for travel and trade. The problem inside the maritime industry is about costs relating to a dwindling, non-renewable resource -- oil -- that they cannot ignore. The pollution issue is addressed too in this feature, but it's not the driving force in my opinion. Congratulations to Diane Gilpin of B9 Shipping, quoted in the article. She is a member of the Sail Transport Network and has our burgee: Have a look at B9's website: b9energy.com/B9Shipping
